Taking a Drive on the Long Road

It was a warm sunny Monday, and some friends and I decided to take a small road trip. So we
decided to take a trip to New Mexico. We were on our way to Mesilla; but also we were going to make a pit stop to Stahmanns Store . I wanted them to taste the ice cream.

that they serve there. It also a relaxing place to sit outside and enjoy the sound the birds make and of the passing cars. Also that on the way over we noticed that these pecan trees were bare but they were drowned in water. So on the road we kept going and we noticed that many property's were huge . They had vast green fields and and the people looked really peaceful. living there. Coming from the state of California; were you have constant traffic, big cities, you really don't get to see this type of scenery. Unless you take a drive up north to the small towns. Also since everyone is in a rush no takes the time to just take a break once in a great while . It seems like everyone now in days is occupied with just making money and stressed all the time.
Some times you need to pull yourself away from the all the mayhem and dedicate time for yourself
only because no one will do it for you. The people over in this part of town have been living like this for many years and it seems that they are content and happy with what they do. It was like a mini- vacation for me; cause for one day i got to see another part New Mexico that is visited by many. But my question is " do people and the visitors that pass by going appreciate what they see around them.

Finally we made it to Messilla and parked, we learned about the history of the town and that for many years it has seem the action in

military ware fare. It was cool to see the church
in the town. also to walk in the shops . But what i liked about visitng places the most is learning about the who, what, when, where, how, and why of things. Also with not being familiar with the town is was also a history lesson. Can't wait until i go back. Again don't forget to take a road trip every know and then, If you don't stop to look around who knows what you might miss.
